If Taiwanese Singer A-Lin Was An Avenger...

If you ever harboured dreams of being an Avenger, you're not alone. Choosing from Marvel's stable of heroes, Taiwanese singer A-Lin would be Thor.

What's not to love about our favourite God of Thunder.

Look at that physique, said A-Lin. She's referring to pre-End Game Thor who possessed a hot bod, not a dad bod.

Not one to be swayed merely by a man's looks, A-Lin also took into account other factors."Thor has a sense of humour. Plus he has a huge fanbase," added A-Lin.

It's another superhero who takes the honour of A-Lin's favourite Marvel character.

Over the phone from Taipei, she said: “Captain Marvel is human, but evolved to become really powerful and went to space. I like how Captain Marvel represents how humans have unlimited potential."

But A-Lin's superpower, in reality, is her vocals.

Those super-powered vocals run in the family. Hailing from the Amis tribe, A-Lin's fellow aboriginal people embrace singing and dance as part of life.

Her supportive parents joined A-Lin in a performance onstage at her 2017 concert in Singapore and on 'I'm A Singer' (2015), a popular Chinese televised singing competition.

Earlier this year,A-Lin's model sister Luji decided to become a singer too

At Luji's mini-album's launch in April, A-Lin turned up to support her sister with a cake in hand.

“I didn’t really give her any performance tips. Because everyone has a different style. I just told her, ‘Give it her best shot. Don’t be nervous’," said A-Lin.

Comparisons between the sisters are inevitable, especially in the judgemental entertainment industry. She added: “The pressure comes from others. People refer to her as A-Lin’s sister. Between us, we don’t compare."

Will audiences get a chance to hear the sisters duet?

A-Lin said: “We do want to work together, but our schedules are really packed. But we often collaborate at home, we will naturally break into a song.”
