The album features six news songs and one cover version – a duet with a Filipino teen singer Julia Abueva. The album is expected to match the success of Alif’s earlier album with Sony Music, Nakal that unleashed two hit numbers – Jangan Nakal and Cukup Indah.
“I’m very excited with this album because it showcases a more matured me,” said Alif who turned 21 years old on 19th September.
The first single from the album, Lelaki Seperti Aku composed by Panji received overwhelming response from music fans.
Besides Lelaki Seperti Aku, Panji also contributed three other songs on this album – Abdul, Rapuh and Dalam Sunyi.
“I chose Panji’s songs because his compositions suit me and he knows what the listeners want,” said Alif.
The songs have been rearranged and produced by Zimi (Sofaz) who also contributed one song entitled Pendusta.
Alif admitted that it took him a while to come up with the second album because he wanted to ensure that it is better than Nakal which was released in 2009.
“I received lots of positive feedbacks about my first album with Sony and I want my fans to be satisfied with this new album,” said Alif.
Love and friendship are the main theme for this album. For example, the songs Rapuh and Dalam Sepi are about love taken for granted.
However, the singer does not forget his young fans. A song entitled Abdul is about a quirky best friend that will definitely hit his younger crowd the right way.
The album also features an original English song composed by a new composer, Amirah Ali entitled There We Go.
“I immediately fell in love with the song after listening to the demo. It is trendy and I am sure the teens will love it,” he said.
Another English track is a cover version of Timeless, a duet with a Filipino teen sensation Julia Abueva.
Timeless was made popular by Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini. It was one of the theme songs from the Hollywood movie, From Justin To Kelly.
