Weezer's 1994 debut yielded the band two big hit singles in "Buddy Holly" and "Undone - The Sweater Song," whose quirky appeal gave the initial impression that the group was some kind of novelty act. Despite the wiseacre veneer though, Weezer went on to successfully combine bracing, punk-poppy alternative rock with a deep sense of irony that often made it impossible to tell whether the band was rocking out or "rocking out." This conceptual tension endeared Weezer to indie aesthetes, while the band's charging riffs and pummelling rhythms endeared them to a larger audience.

Among the band’s previous album include The Blue Album(1994), Pinkerton (1996), The Green Album (2001), Maladroit (2002), Make Believe (2005), The Red Album (2008).

The seventh record from alt-rockers Weezer follows just over a year after their last album, but is very different from its predecessor. Raditude features production work from famed hip-hip producer Jermaine Dupri, amongst others, and includes a guest appearance from rap superstar Lil' Wayne. Raditude also features songwriting contributions from Butch Walker and All-American Rejects. The First single is (If You're Wondering If I Want To) I Want To'.
