シングルには向いてないけど作った当時から好きだった渋目の曲や、久しぶりに聴いて可愛いしクリスマスっぽいと思った”Fly Me To The Moon”、Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewisとの初めての共作”Addicted To You”の原型版（後に出来たより華やかなリアレンジ版をシングルに採用しちゃったけど、スタジオで「ジャネットっぽい！」と彼らが盛り上がって過去に手掛けたJanet Jacksonの名曲のリフをぶっ込んでくれたのも素敵な思い出だな〜と懐かしくなり）など。

Here’s a selection of 22 songs from my oeuvre that I like the vibe of right now, in chronological order.
Some are longtime personal faves, then there’s “Fly Me To The Moon” which sounds cute and kinda Christmas-y to me, and the original version of “Addicted To You” which was my first collaboration with legendary producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. I chose a different version as the radio single but I’ve always loved the original (it brings back memories of how fun it was to work with them in their studio in Minneapolis and how honored I was that they threw in that little riff from a classic Janet Jackson song of their making).
My heart goes out to everyone who needs a little extra love and strength this Christmas. I never really understood Christmas and dreaded it every year, but this year has taught me a lot and I feel like I finally get it. Happy Christmas, a belated Happy Hanukkah, and wishing for us all to be able to look back on this year, and welcome the new one, with open hearts.
