Started out as a fun one-song game to call out ew people in life, this side-project later grew into a full-length album of ten tracks, cherry-topped with a badass name of “Die Heunggong Jingson”(Big Hong Kong Spirit) that slays the whole city.

This magnificent album features a wide range of vocal styles of GTB—the girls can go from innocent voice of a kindergarten teacher to a meandering violent tone of a dominatrix. The lyrical prowess of Serena cannot be more awe-inspiring. Random name-dropping and nonsensical featuring? All sounds just right with Ruby’s musical magic.

Well, this album flips the bird to all you expect from the two indie-pop queens in Hong Kong. They can give you Cardi, Nicki, Britney, Queen B, and they can also give you curses from a coven and perform fortune-retail that send you right back down the Temple Street memory lane when your weak ass broke up with your first boyfriend.

GTB offers timely empowerment and entertainment to bilingual speakers of Cantonese and English suffering in their respective demeaning societies. This album is the key to the new pandora box of Hong Kong (did I just hear “Pandora”, sis?).
