這張專輯多數曲目是要把東方民謠改編成正統爵士，當初我認為這根本是不可能的任務，但同時也是充滿挑戰性的自我超越歷程，不過透過純粹的音樂熱情來努力之後，我們證明了音樂是沒有界線，也沒有不可能。
就這樣，一切都變得如此自然而然，也成為展開我生命中這場音樂旅程的絕佳時機。我在想，或許就是要有如此悲喜交集的人生歷練，來淬煉出更為成熟感性的聲線，自己才能詮釋出這些歌曲的靈魂深度。
我之所以永遠熱愛爵士的理由很簡單，因為詮釋空間特別開闊無邊，要做出自己的味道就是極大挑戰，充滿無限的探索可能。或說新舊版本差別就是我歌唱技巧的情感呈現方式不同。這樣的音樂不但永不退流行，更讓人百聽不厭，就算聽上一千遍也一樣回味無窮…。
這張專輯的錄音過程與眾不同，因為反覆練習琢磨準備的時間，全都花在進入錄音室之前。因為一氣呵成的錄音方式不容許任何瑕疵及錯誤，就像偉大樂團的現場音樂會演出一樣，絕對不只是錄音室中的一個階段步驟！雖然辛苦，但聽到的錄音效果真是前所未聞、讓人感動不已！簡直是比坐雲霄飛車還過癮的絕妙音樂體驗。
演唱爵士歌曲，讓我進入了另一個時空，重返30年代、40年代、50年代….，如此懷舊的感覺何其美好，一如最初的美好時光。

I'm inviting you into a whole new world of my music journey. It's a totaly new, wonderful and exciting experience. that I want to share with all my fans, simply because I yearn to give you more of me that I think you deserve; and I hope you will grow with me, along with my music.
Most of the songs in this album are conversions of my past oriental based ballads into jazzy numbers.It's something that I had initially thought difficult or rather impossible. To me it was quite a novelty and a great big step to leap with full of challenges ahead that could be described as 'frightening' to me at times.But with sheer passion and hardwork, music has no boundaries and nothing is impossible.After that, everything started to fall into places and gradually it just seemed very natural and also the perfect time to begin this journey at this stage of my life because I seem to think it requires lots of both good and bad life experiences plus having a more mature vocal tone would be ideal to give a more soulful way of song delivery.I have always loved jazz music with a simple reason that it's music ranges very widely; thus making them so challenging to sing, having to explore the many new, or should I say both new and old variations of my singing techniques and flow of emotions.This kind of music don't seem to go out of fashion and I never get sick of listening to them, not even a thousand times.......The recording process of this album is very different that it took days and days, hours and hours of practice and preperations and building of stamina before going into the studio. Any mistakes was intolerable because it was almost like delivering a live concert with a great live band but in a studio instead of a stage! But the effect I got from it was pure pleasure and downright satisfying! Nothing like what I have done before. It's such a roller-coast ride! Singing in jazz puts me into another era. It enables me to turn back the clock, going back to the decades of 30's...40's...50's. It's a good old feeling of nostalgia and a feeling of going back to the basics that I immensely enjoy!
