民族樂器創作的融合樂團，包含笙、月琴、柳琴、中阮、鋼琴、大提琴、貝斯、擊樂、人聲等。榮獲第一屆全球客家流行音樂大賽創作組冠軍、第十七屆美國獨立音樂獎雙項入圍。

以臺灣文化為基底進行破壞與重建，說書人之姿遊走在戲曲歌謠、爵士語彙、電子聲響之間，揉合出當代民俗野味與臺式氣口，轉化出異次元同樂的島嶼祭典。

新專輯《邊緣轉生術》由製作人柯智豪操刀，透過妖怪文本探討「邊界」的混沌狀態，融合臺語、華語、客語、英語等多語種，混生出平埔拉丁、客家森巴、臺式放克，亦或是 Neo Folk 、 Alternative Rock、Jungle Terror、World Fusion 的特調風味。

A_Root is a fusion band featuring original
compositions for ethnic instruments, with members being Yilan natives. The instruments involved are the sheng, yueqin, liuqin, zhongruan, piano, cello, bass, percussion, and human voices. A Root engages in ideological destruction and reconstruction relating to Taiwanese culture. Assuming the role of a storyteller, the band wanders the generic borders between traditional opera songs, jazz languages, and electronic sounds, merging the contemporary folk rusticity with local Taiwan dictions to create an islandic festival where humans and spirits from a different dimension of the world celebrate together.
