成立於1992年的「水星音樂獎」（Mercury Award）由英國音樂人、樂評、電台DJ與媒體編輯組成評審團，每年選出12張風格各異但皆具傑出水準的英國專輯，再角逐出最具代表性的一張。2019年入圍者，從The 1975、NAO、FOALS等都是樂評盛讚，而其中slowthai更是拿下今年「BBC年度之聲」第四名。得獎名單將於9月19日揭曉。
