第91屆奧斯卡金像獎入圍名單稍早公布入圍名單，在諸多電影獎已獲得肯定並備受影評、觀眾盛讚的《真寵》（The Favourite）與《羅馬》（Roma）不負眾望皆獲得10項提名，成為最大贏家，《羅馬》更是同時入圍了最佳影片與最佳外語片，聲勢驚人。至於叫好之餘更廣受影迷票房支持、討論熱烈的《一個巨星的誕生》（A Star Is Born）和《黑豹》（Black Panther）成績也不遑多讓，分別獲得8項與7項入圍。女神卡卡（Lady Gaga）第一次的劇情長片演出，即獲奧斯卡肯定；而《黑豹》身為首部黑人超級英雄電影，讓漫威宇宙系列作首度挺進最佳影片入圍，更是十分風光。
