Katharine McPhee also known as Katharine Hope McPhee is an American pop singer, song writer and actress. Her started her career by joining season 5 of American idol, which she would eventually finish as first runner up behind the winner Taylor Hicks.

Katharine released her first self titled debut album in 2007. It featured the first single Over It, which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Top 100 singles chart and the album peaked at number 2 on the billboard top 200 album charts. The album went on to sold 500 000 copies.

Her latest album is entitled Unbroken, it is the first album released under Verve/Universal Music Group. It features the first single “Terrified” feat Jason Reeves. The single has received notable fame with a recorded version featuring Zachary Levi(notable TV actor). The single was used by a american idol contestant and increased the songs digital download well over 10 000%. The album is combination of ballads, RnB and adult sound to it.
The album debuted on number 27 of the Billboard Top 200 Charts and sold 35 000 copies in its first week.
Locally, Mix FM, Lite FM and Fly FM will be picking up the single of "Terrified featuring Jason Reeves".
