創作理念：
這首歌曲的故事
來自演唱人身邊一位喜愛甜食的台南在地友人
年少時離家出國工作打拚
但是一直飽受思鄉之苦
不斷在回故鄉和繼續留在異國工作
兩者之間徘徊做不了抉擇
疫情緣故
一天友人接到一通來自父母的關心電話
一時情緒潰堤
立刻決定踏上回鄉旅程
不管是故鄉的人、事、物
都是支持異鄉遊子在外打拚的最大支柱
我想要把這種思鄉心情
一反既往的悲傷敘述方式
用回鄉"期待又快樂"的心情來闡述整個故事
特別找美籍音樂人
共同創作了這首台美融合風味的歌曲
希望有耳目一新的感覺
遊子決定回鄉是因為確定了
故鄉的美 - 才是人生所求
也希望可以藉由這首開心的歌
讓更多的異鄉人
不再害怕面對自己思鄉的情緒

關於 2022臺南Sing時代之歌原創音樂競賽：
文學不僅是文字藝術的呈現，透過音樂、聲音傳達的文學作品，從視覺延伸至聽覺的心靈激盪，往往更扣人心弦。
2017 年首度舉辦「臺南 sing 時代之歌」，爰此， 2022 年續辦第6屆「臺南 sing 時代之歌原創音樂競賽」，希望鼓勵詞曲創作者延續民歌創作精神，承載時代聲音，為臺南寫一首歌，開創屬於這個世代的臺南印象。
