KKBOX Top 100 K-Pop Songs In 2019: BLACKPINK, BTS & Hotel Del Luna

What's been trending in the K-pop world? Our editors took a look at our K-pop charts over the year.

In 2019, two K-pop acts were at the forefront of the Hallyu wave. Both bands' names start with the letter 'B' — BLACKPINK and BTS. Groups that also made it to the Top 10, include Twice, EXO and MAMAMOO.

K-Drama Hotel Del Luna's sky-high viewership rating is reflected in our charts too. Starring IU and Yeo Jin Goo, a number of the hit drama's OST made it to our Top 100 charts.

We take a look the Top 10 K-Pop hits of 2019.

BLACKPINK IS NUMBER ONE

BLACKPINK's 'Kill This Love' topped KKBOX's 2019 K-pop singles charts in Singapore and Malaysia.

Since debuting in 2016, BLACKPINK has gone from fresh-faced rookies toan in-demand girl band.The sassy quartet has taken their concert tour from Asia to America.

Made up ofJisoo,Jennie, Rosé, andLisa, BLACKPINK hastaken the USA by storm. They've performed at music festival Coachella and appeared onAmerican talk shows on prime TV.

Chanel muse Jennie's solo single, titled SOLO, made it to the Top 3 in both countries — second in Malaysia, and third in Singapore.

PEOPLE ARE IN LUV WITH BTS

It's official. People are in "luv" with the boys.Hailed as the 21st Century Beatles, BTS is a global phenomenon.

Featuring American rising star Halsey,'Boys With Luv'went platinum in America. It's no surprise that the viral hitmade it to KKBOX'sTop 3 —No. 2 in Singapore and No. 3 in Malaysia.

'Boys With Luv' is BTS's second song to go platinum in America, after 'Mic Drop"in 2018.

On our KKBOX K-pop charts, BTS snagged 9 spots respectively in Singapore and Malaysia. The charted songsare 'Dionysus', 'Make It Right', 'Mikrokosmos', 'Dream Glow', 'Heartbeat', 'Home', 'Jamais Vu' and 'A Brand New Day'.

TAEYEON'S SOLO SUCCESS

Thelead vocalist of Girls' Generation has been focusing on solo efforts.

Standing tall among the group acts,Taeyeon's singles are a regular feature on our KKBOX charts. She scored four spots respectively in our 2019 Top 100 K-pop songs charts in Singapore and Malaysia.

In Malaysia, Taeyeon has two spots in the Top 10 — Four Seasons at No. 8 and All About You at No. 9.

All About You also charted in Singapore, the K-Drama ost takes the fifth spot on Singapore's charts.

TOP K-DRAMA OST:HOTEL DEL LUNA

Supernatural-themed romance 'Hotel Del Luna's rating success has translated to our KKBOX charts.

In Singapore, the drama's OST took up four of Top 10 spots, namely 'All About You', 'Another Day', 'Can You See My Heart' and 'Remember Me'.In Malaysia, Taeyeon's 'All About You' scored the 9th position.

K-Drama OSTs are a favourite among our listeners.

Other popular K-drama's soundtracks also charted, including Touch Your Heart's OST 'What If Love' and'Her Private Life's' OST 'Think Of You'.
