In the album there are four hit songs which are briefed below.
Song of Moses: the Greatest Commandment is a song that condensed the core spirit of the book Deuteronomy. Utilizing flashback technique, the songwriter described in depth how Moses responded to the call of God in his whole life. The ‘Strong East Wind’ brought Moses and the Israelites into two great shocks: Battle of the Sea of Reeds (or the Red Sea) and receiving the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. With tremble and reverence, Moses followed the Lord and repeatedly asked the Israelites to keep the commandments generation after generation.
Taiwan Presbyterian Church is a song with two objectives. First, it pays tribute and gives thanks to former Presbyterian missionaries from the UK and Canada who built churches and brought the good news of Jesus’s salvation to Taiwan, like Thomas Barclay, James Laidlaw Maxwell, and George Leslie Mackay. Second, it encourages the Presbyterian churches to be united under the faith to God and open a new era.
Song of the Smallest is a song to express the cry for God’s mercy from humble people who encounter deep sorrow in life.
The Prosperous World illustrates the lonely souls in cities abundant with modern
technology, indicating that God’s love is always the ultimate need of human souls.
The rest of the album are songs on different themes like rural villages, islands,
sufferings, and recoveries that demonstrate various aspects of the faith of people in
Taiwan.
