ARVAN is a band formed by five Malaysian musicians, featuring the powerful vocals of Aki Huang, the skilled guitar work of Gideon Alu8khan Chen (also known as Alu8), Lo on guitar (currently withdrawn from the band), Ken Chung on bass, and CY on drums. With nearly 20 years of experience in the music industry, these seasoned musicians come together to create a sound that blends heavy metal, post-rock, and emotional ballads, resulting in an eclectic mix of music that evokes a sense of boundless freedom. Aki Huang, in particular, is a singer-songwriter who has penned popular songs such as "Love" by Hebe Tian and "Allergic" by Rainie Yang.

ARVAN, since their formation in December 2017, has delved into various themes through their music, exploring the nuances of human emotions and addressing social issues such as death, gender identity, group identity, and challenging authority.

Their strong musical style has earned them invitations to participate in various music events both domestically and internationally, including Taiwan's Hohaiyan Rock Festival, Malaysia's City ROARS! Festival and Tian Kong Music Festival, as well as the Urbanscapes Festival where Icelandic band Sigur Rós has also performed.

In 2020, ARVAN was honoured with the prestigious "Best Band" award at the Malaysian AIM Chinese Music Awards ceremony, a testament to their exceptional talent and significant contributions to the music industry. This recognition serves as a confirmation of their tireless efforts to push boundaries and create music that resonates with audiences far and wide.
